-The CEO of Normal Motors (NYSE:)’ robot-taxi unit Cruise, Kyle Vogt, has resigned from the corporate a day after apologizing to employees as the corporate undergoes a security evaluate of its U.S. fleet.
Vogt, 38, supplied little in the way in which of clarification, stating merely “I’ve resigned from my place,” based on his electronic mail to employees seen by Reuters on Sunday.
“The final 10 years have been wonderful, and I am grateful to everybody who helped Cruise alongside the way in which,” he wrote within the electronic mail.
Cruise this month pulled all of its autos from testing within the U.S. to conduct a security evaluate after an Oct. 2 accident that concerned one other automobile and ended up with one in every of Cruise’s self-driving taxis dragging a pedestrian.
