Shell (NYSE:SHEL) will purchase as much as 3.5 million tons every year (MTPA) of LNG from Qatar for the Netherlands, as per two 27-year sale and buy agreements signed on Wednesday.
QatarEnergy will provide LNG to Rotterdam’s Gate import terminal beginning in 2026, the Center Jap firm stated in a statement. The deal comes per week after Qatar signed the same deal with France’s TotalEnergies SE (TTE).
The LNG volumes can be sourced from the 2 joint ventures between QatarEnergy and Shell (SHEL) that maintain pursuits in Qatar’s North Discipline East and North Discipline South growth tasks.
