WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Boeing (NYSE:) CEO Dave Calhoun will testify earlier than a U.S. Senate panel on June 18 after a sequence of issues of safety have raised issues concerning the planemaker’s high quality and regulators have barred Boeing from increasing manufacturing of its best-selling 737 MAX.
Senator Richard Blumenthal, who chairs the Everlasting Subcommittee on Investigations, mentioned Calhoun would testify a few sequence of points. The Federal Aviation Administration in February barred Boeing from boosting manufacturing of its best-selling aircraft after a door panel blew out throughout a Jan. 5 flight on a 737 MAX 9 operated by Alaska Airways.
