SYDNEY (Reuters) – Citigroup (NYSE:) has appointed Harish Raman as the pinnacle of its fairness capital markets (ECM) execution, origination and options enterprise for Asia North, Asia South and Australia, in line with a memo seen by Reuters on Monday.
Raman will even retain his present title as the pinnacle of fairness capital markets syndicate for Asia, the memo stated.
He replaces Udhay Furtado who’s leaving Citigroup after six years with the financial institution in Hong Kong to relocate to Singapore along with his household.
Raman has been with Citigroup since 2011, the memo stated, and beforehand was the pinnacle of Asia equity-linked origination at UBS.
Kenneth Chow stays Citigroup’s head of Asia North, Australia and Asia South for ECM origination and merchandise.
A Citigroup spokesperson confirmed the contents of the memo.
